PARTNER IN MINISTRY WITH US
Houston Memorial partners with Main Street Ministries (http://www.mainstreetministries.org/) in Double Springs to provide food and pastoral care to needy families in the Houston area. We distribute on the first Tuesday evening of each month (except November) from 5-6PM. Anyone wishing to be added to the list may contact MSM at 205-489-9007 or by going to the MSM center in Double Springs during their normal service hours.
As part of our relationship with Main Street we encourage volunteering with MSM through the week to help with their daily work and with special events and projects. Houston Memorial financially supports MSM through congregational and personal giving.
In addition to this more formal mission opportunity, we work closely with the Central Volunteer Fire Department and other churches in the Houston area to provide assistance for needy families.
